About this product

The ghanta (bell) and dorje (vajra) are used together in Vajrayana practice and are made as a set, with the bell's handle repeating the dorje's form.

Both are lost-wax cast in Patan, which means each began as a wax model that no longer exists. The chasing on the bell's skirt is done by hand after the pour.

We stock these because buyers ask for them, and we sell them as objects, without any claim about consecration or provenance that we cannot stand behind.

How it was made

Care & keeping

Dry cloth. The clapper is suspended on cord and can be re-hung if it wears.

Shipping, duty & returns

Retail orders leave Kathmandu within two working days of payment clearing and are tracked throughout. Free over $150.00; a flat $24.00 below that.

Import duty and tax in your own country are not included and are payable by you. We declare goods at their real value.

Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging. Food, tea, spices, honey and cosmetics are not returnable once opened, which is a food-safety position rather than a commercial one.
