How retail and wholesale consignments move, what they cost, and how long they take.
Retail orders
Despatched from Kathmandu within two working days of payment clearing. Tracked throughout.
- Nepal — 1–3 days.
- India, China, Gulf — 4–8 working days.
- Europe, UK, North America — 6–14 working days.
- Australia, New Zealand, Latin America — 8–18 working days.
Shipping is free on retail orders over the threshold shown at checkout. Below it, a flat rate applies.
Duty and tax in your own country are not included and are payable by you. We declare goods at their actual value. We will not under-declare a consignment, and we will not mark a commercial shipment as a gift.
Wholesale and container consignments
Quoted per order against your destination, volume and incoterm.
- Air freight — 5–9 days port to port. Sensible up to a few hundred kilos, or when a seasonal window matters.
- Sea freight, LCL — 25–40 days depending on the routing. Everything from Nepal moves overland to Kolkata or Haldia first, which adds 5–8 days before the vessel.
- Sea freight, FCL — as above, better rate per unit from roughly 15 cubic metres.
We quote FOB Kathmandu by default. CIF, DAP and DDP are available; DDP requires us to have a duty-paying arrangement in your market, so ask early.
Packing
Double-wall cartons throughout. Bowls and cast metal in moulded pulp cradles. Textiles vacuum-compressed where it saves volume without harming the goods. Wood crated with an ISPM 15 stamp. Paper goods flat-packed — for these, volumetric weight decides your freight cost rather than actual weight, and we quote both figures.
Lead times
Stock lines despatch in days. Made-to-order handwork runs 3–8 weeks depending on the craft, and seasonal agricultural lines run to the harvest, not to the order date. Every product page states its own lead time.
Delays we cannot control
Nepal is landlocked and everything transits India. Border congestion, festival closures — Dashain and Tihar shut a great deal of the country for two to three weeks each autumn — and monsoon road conditions all affect transit. We will tell you about a delay as soon as we know about it rather than when you ask.
