Terms & conditions
The commercial terms that apply to retail orders and to trade consignments.
These terms apply to every order placed through this site and to every consignment we ship. Where a signed contract exists for a trade order, that contract takes precedence over anything here.
1. The parties
"We" is Agni Exim Pvt. Ltd., registered in Kathmandu, Nepal. "You" is the person or company placing the order.
2. Prices and currency
All prices are in US dollars unless quoted otherwise, and are ex-Kathmandu. Import duty, VAT and customs charges in your country are not included and are payable by you.
Retail prices on this site can change without notice; the price at the moment you order is the price that applies. Written quotations hold for 30 days.
3. Orders and acceptance
An order placed on this site is an offer. A contract exists when we confirm it. We may decline an order — if the goods cannot lawfully be imported into your country, if a price was listed in error, or if stock has gone.
4. Payment
Retail: in full before despatch, except cash on delivery inside Nepal. Trade: as agreed in the quotation, typically 30% deposit with the balance against documents. Letter of credit accepted from around USD 10,000.
Title in the goods passes on payment in full. Risk passes according to the agreed incoterm.
5. Delivery and delay
Lead times are estimates given honestly, not guarantees. Nepal is landlocked and all freight transits India; border congestion, festival closures and monsoon conditions affect transit and are outside our control. We will notify you of a delay as soon as we know of it.
6. Handwork
Hand-made goods vary between pieces. Colour, grain, tool marks, patina and dimensions within a stated tolerance are characteristics of the goods and are not defects. Where an exact match matters, order against an approved sample.
7. Claims

8. Compliance
You are responsible for confirming that the goods may lawfully be imported into your market, and for any licence, registration or in-market legal role your jurisdiction requires. We will supply the certification described on the [export documentation](page.php?slug=export-documentation) page and will not falsify any declaration for any reason.
9. Liability
Our liability for any consignment is limited to its invoice value. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost onward contracts. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Intellectual property
Text and images on this site are ours. Designs supplied by you for private-label work remain yours, and we will not use them for anyone else.
11. Governing law
The laws of Nepal. The courts of Kathmandu have jurisdiction.
12. Changes
We may revise these terms. The version in force is the one published when your order was confirmed.
