Sesame is the standard base in Ayurvedic body oil because it is stable, absorbs reasonably and does not go rancid quickly. This one is cold-pressed rather than solvent-extracted.
The herbs are infused into the warm oil over several days and then strained, which is the traditional method and the reason the oil is amber rather than clear.
We are not making a therapeutic claim. It is a body oil with herbs infused into it, sold as a cosmetic, with a full ingredient list and a batch code on the bottle.
