Drawn seamless rather than rolled and soldered, so there is no seam to leak and no solder to worry about. Hammered by hand afterwards, which is decorative and also work-hardens the wall.
Unlined inside. Copper does slowly leach into water, which is the entire premise of the traditional practice and also the reason not to store anything acidic in it — no juice, no lemon water, nothing carbonated.
