About this product
The barrel is made by rolling newsprint around the graphite core under pressure and gluing it. It ends up denser than cedar and sharpens cleanly in a standard sharpener — the shavings come off in a spiral like wood.
Because the paper is recycled, every pencil has different print showing through the surface. No two boxes look alike.
A hundred and forty-four to a box, which is the case size schools and offices actually order in.
How it was made
Pressure-rolled barrel — Kathmandu.
Sourced from Recycled-paper workshop.
Lokta Paper & Stationery — Baglung & Kathmandu. See the rest of this category.
Producer descriptions on this site are sourcing categories rather than named suppliers. Named-supplier disclosure is available to trade buyers under NDA — ask when you request a quote.
Care & keeping
Keep dry — a paper barrel will soften if it gets properly wet.
Shipping, duty & returns
Retail orders leave Kathmandu within two working days of payment clearing and are tracked throughout. Free over $150.00; a flat $24.00 below that.
Import duty and tax in your own country are not included and are payable by you. We declare goods at their real value.
Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging. Food, tea, spices, honey and cosmetics are not returnable once opened, which is a food-safety position rather than a commercial one.
