In stock Free retail shipping over $150.00

Raw honey from bees working the chiuri (butter tree) flow — dark, slightly savoury and quite unlike a clover honey. Unheated and unfiltered beyond a coarse strain.

Despatched in 1–2 working days from Kathmandu on stock lines, tracked the whole way.
30-day retail returns on anything unused and unopened. Faulty or wrongly described, we cover the freight.
Declared at its real value. We do not under-declare and we do not mark commercial goods as gifts.
Handwork varies. Tool marks, grain and small colour shifts are characteristics, not faults.

About this product

Chiuri flowers in the winter, when very little else does, which is why the honey is single-source in practice rather than just in marketing. It sets to a dense, dark, faintly caramel-savoury honey.

Unheated. Commercial honey is warmed to keep it liquid and pushed through a fine filter to keep it clear, both of which cost it flavour and pollen. This will crystallise, and that is what raw honey does.

Each lot ships with a residue analysis, which most markets require for honey and which is worth having regardless.

How it was made

Cold-extracted, coarse-strained, unheated — Mid-hills, central Nepal.

Sourced from Beekeeping groups.

Spices & Agro Produce — Taplejung & Ilam. See the rest of this category.

Producer descriptions on this site are sourcing categories rather than named suppliers. Named-supplier disclosure is available to trade buyers under NDA — ask when you request a quote.

Care & keeping

Store at room temperature. If it crystallises, stand the jar in warm water — do not microwave it. Not for infants under 12 months.

Shipping, duty & returns

Retail orders leave Kathmandu within two working days of payment clearing and are tracked throughout. Free over $150.00; a flat $24.00 below that.

Import duty and tax in your own country are not included and are payable by you. We declare goods at their real value.

Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging. Food, tea, spices, honey and cosmetics are not returnable once opened, which is a food-safety position rather than a commercial one.
